Services and Fees
Leaving your pets at home when you go away is always difficult, but life happens and sometimes our pets need to stay at home. Take the stress out of looking after pet care when you can't be there, with Jen's At Home Pet Care. We provide a variety of services designed to give you peace of mind while you're away. Our visits ensure your pet is in familiar surroundings to minimise stress and maximise comfort, offering a more convenient and cost-effective alternative to out-of-home boarding.
Visits can be arranged for all types of animals, whether in your home, your garden or off-site. I offer a free, no commitment onboarding visit to discuss your requirements and to meet you and your pets.
I specialise in care for younger and older pets, those with medical needs and that require bespoke care, but you can feel safe in the knowledge that all pets receive the same loving, dependable, professional care no matter their breed, age or support needs.
PET VISIT - £10
- Feed, refresh water and clean up after your pet(s)
- Playtime and pampering if your pet is happy to do so
- Giving medication, including oral and under skin injections
- Letting out/ bringing in.
DOG WALK - £10 for 30 minutes
I walk solo/ same family dogs - no mixed packs - so that they get my full attention. I will walk your dogs from your home to a local area suitable for longer lead (where possible) and will not allow them off the lead for safety reasons, giving you assurance that they are under control at all times.
OTHER SERVICES (on request)
- Watering plants - indoor/ outdoor/ greenhouse
- Home security checks/ curtains/ lighting
- Shopping for your return home
- Post management for longer vacations
- Maintenance checks and referrals to trades for repairs e.g. flushing WCs, running taps
- Pet transport including vet visits.

Should your regular provider be unavailable or if you have an emergency - please call 07307 896245 and I will endeavour to assist.
SECURITY
- I will collect and manage your key using a safe, unlabelled system.
- Your data is held digitally and secure in line with current UK legislation.
Meet Jen, a true animal lover
Hi, I'm Jen a trusted pet care professional with 40+ years of experience in looking after animals. I grew up with my Dalmatian dog, horses, rabbits, cats, hamsters, cockatiels, chickens and pigeons. I now have two rescue cats, one with medical needs and requires oral and under-skin injections twice daily. I am devoted to their wellbeing and comfort and after a successful career in London, I have returned to my roots in Lancashire to care for animals.
The love of animals: Over the years I have saved street cats and dogs in Thailand, worked for a wildlife sanctuary in South Africa, supported a rehoming charity, a nature reserve and horse rescue in the UK and now volunteer locally for A Purrfect Friend cat rescue and the Cinnamon Trust dog walking charity. I am committed to making the lives of animals better in any way I can including adopting a vegan lifestyle and have recently become Trustee for the RSPCA Preston branch.
Your pet is my passion: I am 100% dedicated to ensuring your pets are comfortable and cared for in your absence. I ensure your home is secure and give you complete peace of mind whilst you're away. I am fully insured, DBS checked and trained in pet first aid meaning you won't find a more qualified and trustworthy pet carer.
